Don't use Ultimate !!! USE Professional or Enterprise and activate it with MAK keys!!! There are many MAK on the net with thousands of remaining activations!

    Ruining Genuine?
Genuine is when you use a legit key and activate over internet, not installing a bios. lol

Did you restore the RTM tokens.dat ?????
I'm guessing you didn't, which is why that Frankenbuild installation of Win 7 is looking for a BETA Key, not an OEM Key.

    Geez, do I need help!

OK, I consider myself pretty knowledgeable but this has thrown me for a loop.

My Dell Laptop (SLIC 2.1) suddenly has the "Not genuine" message. I have followed every tutorial here about how to fix it but, short of an image restore from February this has me beat. Just on principle I want to fix it but I'm out of things to try.

I DID have the "bad" Lenovo key. I first tried the "replace the key" method. Used 3 different keys. Didn't work. Then I removed WAT and also used the cleaner program. Then installed a new key etc. Tried to vaidate online but it said it couldn't (and wanted me to redownload WAT before even trying) but it was OK after I rebooted ONCE. Then the 2nd reboot got me back to the black screen again.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the KB...1033 5 different times.

Any other suggestions before I just reimage the drive? I've spent so much time and am so frustrated now I've probably messed it up permanently.

Edit: If I do decide to just REIMAGE can I just change the key using slmgr BEFORE it bites me again or do I have to revalidate online etc? Problem is, to validate online you have to first download KB....1033.

It's Ultimate 64bit by the way. Sorry.
