there is not such a key in my registry (and kb971033 is already applied). where is it exactly? a subkey? Another question: can I just right-click in that update in "programs and features" and click on "uninstall" instead of using the command line ?
Thanks 1) No idea. 2) Yes you can remove it from add/remove programs, but it defeats the point of a CLI list

If all loader apps and system modifying apps (rwat, chew,...) replace the wat values in the registry with a value that's the same for all of us, or with values from real oem machines, then it sends wrong values to the wat server and make it (maybe) harder to detect

Are you running as administrator? Is it listed in "Installed updates" under programs and features in Control panel? Have you installed anything to "Activate" your system? (Loader, RemoveWAT, etc)
i myself installed RemoveWAT so i can't run most of your commands (i can't find the registry entries, nor the wat folder in system32). i neither have seen KB971033 in my updates (option to install nor already installed). however after the latest microsoft security essentials client update of march 10, it appears to have made my windows not genuine. i wonder if it's something unrelated to KB971033?
I've followed all the directions, cmd's, but when I boot from the DVD, I can't get into the cmd prompt? I've hit shift-F10, but it goes into reloading windows...help?
