kill Cortona but keep search bar

    I have disabled cortona using some of the registry tweaks and can see you can delete some of the packages using wim tweaks. I would like to remove all bing/contona based searches that goes online and just use it as a local search bar like in win8.1 and 7.

    you can easily disable cortana and bing in the search settings with just two switches.

    yeah but it still phones home and removing the cortona package removes the search bar.

    She phones home and tells them what, how much money you have, what sites you spend your lonely time at, read more stories on here about people trying to get their E-mail working again after installing all this spy crap, what other problems are you going to have after getting rid on Miss Cortana, do you care. Leave the OS alone unless you know exactly what you are getting into.:D

    Or going back to seven or a teamos or wzor hybrid win 8.1 OS, of mint and don't look back. ;)

    Win ten is going to break many hearts and bring lots of problems to folks down the road on their behavior and habits on the new www and dot com

    Hide the search from the bar, Install classic shell and search will work like on win 7.
