Kinect for Windows is arriving on Feb. 1st

    kind of bothers me that those of us witht he kinect already just cant download the drivers and use there current connect.

    You do realize that "Kinect for Windows" is a developer's kit and nothing more, right?

    Well, since the "Kinect for Windows" being released Feb. 1 is only a Kinect sensor bar, runtime DLLs, and an SDK, "developer's kit" is the best way I can think of to describe it.
    It doesn't come with any apps or consumer interface, that may come later, but it is MS's intent for usage apps to come from 3rd party development.

    The actual MS Kinect team does blog about what they are doing and releasing and they are much more accurate and straight forward than some of the PR bloggers at MS.
