My kvm died so I was looking for another one on Ebay.

I found some good ones: Iogear GCS1808 KVM. All the affordable ones do not include the cables.

So I decided to make my own, but I ran into a problem.

The console connector is 1 x SPHD-18 Male. This connector has 3 rows of 6 pins.

Computer/KVM is 8 x SPHD-15 Female. This connector has 2 rows of 6 pins and one row of 5 pins.

I cant find these connectors for sale anywhere. [Mouser Amazon Ebay]

They look like vga d-subs but with extra pins.

Does anybody know the source of these connectors?

Here is a picture of the connectors.

The far left has 3 rows of 6 pins. The other 8 have 2 rows of 6 pins and one row of 5 pins.

I use a KVM switch also but a 4 port AirLink (AKVM-4) w/ PS2 ports in the front.
This thing has lasted a long time & I worried it may not be available sometime so I bought another for a backup.
One has to be careful buying older parts as (ebay 2x) crooks out there will lie that they have what you need.

I took a look at the IO GEAR site... no joy.

    *Good luck w/ your search.

Yes Ebay sellers can be tricky that way.

It seems to me many of the kvm vendors use proprietary connectors and sometimes shapes

Very proprietary - Electronic stores like Mouser, Digikey, Newark dont list them.
