Hi ! Where to begin... lady friend of mine wanted a copy of Windows 7 on her laptop, so as I have installed a few of my PC's I said I'd do it. Long story short. Instead of deleteing all her progams, I thought I'd simply install my copy of Windows 7 in a separate partition on a Toshiba L300, so she can go back to the Vista installation when she needs to, otherwise she'll run Windows 7. All installed perfectly. linked it to my wireless hub during installation, copied my 7loader onto desktop. Ran crack as I always do. On restart, Nothing. Its suppossed to be reading from HDD as first boot device but no HDD light, no spinning up sound, not a thing. Black screen with blinking cursor is all I had. What I have done is to change the boot device back to disk, in the hope it would pick something up. Luckily it did read from disk, so I have redeleted partition and re-installed. I've rebooted and it seems to work again, but is not activated yet of course. Thought I'd ask for advice before possibly damaging the system... So Questions... Dual boot on a laptop with Vista and Win 7. Is this a no no or does'nt matter at all ? Is this machine simply adverse to 7loader ? Is 7loader tied to this copy of Windows 7 or is there another I should maybe be using ? Any help appreciated. Ta !
