Even if I am just browsing the internet without any heavy Software or program running, I am getting a loud noise of a fan from my laptop. How can I get rid of this noise?
If this is something that has been progressively getting worse, your laptop probably needs basic maintenance (ex: opening it up, cleaning the fan, heatsink and replace thermal compound). A good place to start is by monitoring your CPU temperatures while working with your laptop. You can use hwmonitor for that. Anything above 80ºC will cause the fans to ramp up significantly. Around 100ºC it reaches the point which the fans run at full speed and the CPU starts to slow down to avoid incinerating itself.
It's very difficult to say anything other than that this computer has not been maintained and is full of dirt. When was the last time you opened it and cleaned it properly? First of all disassemble and clean it, the fans and their motors also need to be cleaned, if necessary, put a drop of silicone oil on the ends of the motor shaft/bushings. It may also be necessary to clean the radiators properly and, as already said, if it gets too hot, then maybe change the thermal paste. The radiators need to be removed and cleaned with a cleaning agent that is capable of removing the mixture of grease and dust that has accumulated there. If all this does not help, the real cause of the noise must be found and eliminated. If it is a very old fan, it may also be necessary to replace it. Start with maintenance and then everything else will become clear.
