laptop wont power up

    I got a acer aspire 4732z-4620 and it will no power up.. when I plug the AC shown a orange light.. and when I press power button to start it up nothing happens any suggestions? not even the fan start to spin when I press power button

    tried without battery ?
    most time i run into this is a mossfet in the motherboard.

    I done all that ..and plus I took the motherboard battery out as well and still nothing moves inside .. but .. I saw if I let the AC connected it gets hot..its something INTEL AF82801 IBM L932H187 SLB8Q and this gets very hot if I let the AC plugged in :confused:

    Is your battery flat ? maybe your charger is at fault.

    but the thing is it shows me lights when is plugged in.. but this black square and writes on it INTEL AF82801 IBM L932H187 SLB8Q on motherboard gets very hot

    I thinking to use the heat gun on it ? :confused:

    82801 seems like bridge, if it gets hot it can be short circuit somewhere or in chip itself... I think heatgun won't help.. chip swapping(not sure if it'll work + expensive)/motherboard replace seems like better option. but if you have heat gun you can try.. just don't let the temp to go above 360C and be cautious.. you can overheat pcb.

    ok thanks..I am still waiting for the heat gun to arrive ..I let you know if it will work.

    the motherboard its dead needs to be reballing.. i used the heatgun ..and still nothing happens .. all I think the bga needs to be reballing ..its to expensive am better off to get other motherboard...
