Laptops

    I am looking to purchase a laptop for about $500-$600
    Should I purchase a refurbished or new one?
    Also what brand would you suggest?

    for $600 you can get a brand new laptop. Check Best buy online.
    Oh...Toshiba all the way ! if I may suggest ;)
    I got my 3rd Toshiba laptop since 2005 and never complained. Its like working horse.

    The best/most reliable laptop you can get is a Latitude. For a good deal get an off-lease Latitude. You can get a nice 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR-2, and a big hard-drive for around your price. It will last a long time. Let me know if you need help finding one. :)

    Just remember you get what you pay for especially with laptops. Cheap price means cheap quality plastics and electronics.
