Hi, I have a client using Dell T3500 and asking for the latest updated Windows 7 ultimate (hotfixes and drivers) for the machine. When I asked why not use Windows 10, he said there are several music applications only working on Windows 7 but not Windows 10 like Cubase 5. I've not followed Windows 7 updates for a long while. Please what is the latest situation to download and update it? Thanks
What's the exact 7-character "service tag" number on his Dell Precision T3500? Does it still have all of its original hardware, or has any hardware (graphics, sound, ethernet, wireless, etc.) been added to or upgraded in it? When was the last time Windows 7 Ultimate (32-bit or 64-bit?) has been brought up to date in his Dell Precision T3500? Microsoft officially stopped providing updates via Windows Update in January 2020. However, there has been 3 years of post-EOL updates since then, and there has been post-ESU updates after that. The quickest and easiest way to update it to its current year and month is to use the current version of Simplix UpdatePack7R2. "Patch Tuesday" is tomorrow, so the version for May 2024 should be released within the next few days.
