I got a Lenovo Laptop with Windows 7 pro and it came with oem software to upgrade to windows 8 pro but no license key anywhere. I saw in these forums instructions and software to see the license in the bios, would this show both the license for the current windows 7 pro and the upgrade to windows 8 pro, as I want the license for the windows 8 pro so I can use a downloaded iso without all the pre-installed crapware on the oem windows 8 pro restore disc?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If the laptop came with windows 7, there should not exist OEM key for Windows 8 in the bios. That's say, you need to purchase for a valid key before you can install or upgrade to Windows 8 by a downloadable iso.

I think that's a free upgrade. I'd call Lenovo for help.

The key for Windows 8.1 Pro is embedded in your BIOS, just google How to view the Windows 8 Product Key embedded in BIOS?

    it's the first search result
