Lenovo Y500 has arrived. Can I install Windows 8 clean?

    Can I install Windows 8 clean and legit on this baby?

    I found the OEM part in the Windows 8 category. And opening the unattended installation I see a serial in there. Can I use that to activate Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro ?

    I really don't like the bloated OEM software.

    Of course you can. Just make sure you have some of your essential drivers before formatting like WAN drivers and Display drivers :rolleyes:

    To be able to use that serial number though, you must have Windows 8 pre-installed because you need OA 3.0.

    My edition is Core. Found my serial as well. Thanks for all your help. now looking for MSDN iso

    I have a Windows 8 iso

    What should I modify my ei.cfg to?

    EditionID: Core
    Channel: Retail or OEM?
    VL: 0 or 1 ?

    What is the source of your ISO?? You don't have to modify it if its untouched MSDN.

    PLEASE do not post your serial number again, i really pity you . i really hope some one dose not use your serial number,next time if you have doubt be it any software you do not have to post / give your serial number to any one for them to help you. only you should have access to your serial.
