Hi, everyone! I've just noticed that Linux Mint 18.2 "Sonya" now has the official support for kernel 4.13.0.x in Update Manager. But, checking the bug reports, I can see a lot of bugs reported, so I'm passing this one out. I've already tried kernel 4.13 from Ubuntu kernel-ppa/mainline repository and it didn't feel right, as it gave me a lot of AHCI errors.
I have found you can correct a lot of Mint's issues by simply using the native Linux kernel, as opposed to Mint's modified kernel. You can easily install that by using this tool https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/debian-9-1-released.74768/#post-1359904 I did this for a friend of mine who insisted on keeping with Linux Mint.
