Thanx Skaendo... From what I have read, there are some nice improvements in this release particularly regarding Nvidia drivers. BTW: what happened to our news hound, Paiva? Was expecting him to bring the juice...
I hope that the nVidia situation gets better. I will wait until stable until I test that out though. I have 2 PCs with nVidia graphics, one of them works good and the other, well not so much. I am currently running this BETA on my test rig (Intel/Intel) and all is well.
Embarrassing question, but is there a way to update to 17.3 and still keep everything (customizations, settings and so on) the same as my 17.2 set up? This is my first time using Linux and I've spent a ton of time getting everything looking and working how I want, the thought of having to start from scratch again leaves me feeling
Thank you for posting that Superfly.....( #6 above - Aptik ) .... I'm sure it is mighty useful to many users .... and thanks also to ausernamenoonehas for asking the question ! -
Yeah x2 thanks Superfly - has been the most friendly and helpful person to me on these forums. Though I must digress, I did try to send him a PM a few times and it was always rejected due to reaching message limit, so he's not perfect
Honestly i had big hopes for Mint 17.3 until i heard they are using Kernel 3.19 same as 17.2 which is slightly depressing it should atleast be on Kernel 4.1 LTS
