Linux Ubuntu v8.04 -> v8.10 -> v8.04

    Installed Ubuntu 8.10 in a friends computer.

    But after updates installed, the menues in "Suns Open Office" dissappeared.

    Went back to Ubuntu 8.04 as it didn't happen there.

    Any advice someone?

    PS. I have been using Ubuntu 8.04 in dualboot with WXPMCE for half a year.

    Check if they were uninstalled. If not, do it and download the latest version in .deb format. Install all .deb from the DEB folder and then do the same for all the .deb from desktop-integration folder.

    All should be OK now.

    even better way

    apt-get --reinstall install openoffice.org-common openoffice.org-base openoffice.org-base-core openoffice.org-writer
