List of limitations of unlicensed HW firewalls ?

    Is there such a list ?

    I ask as I have a Barracuda NG F100 here, which, since its license expired, slowed down the 100 mbit internet to about 12mbit.

    It worked fine with a license. OR does it just "filter traffic" slower ?

    A SonicWall TZ105 for example, does its (standard) job just fine at full speed,
    even without an activated license.

    Hence the question. What kind of (speed) limitations do HW firewalls have ?

    Or does every HW firewall manufacturer handle this individually ?

    dont know much about that brand but way would a HW firewall slow down traffic speed because is unlicensed.
