    Hey guys,
Is there a way to move or convert a local profile on a workgroup to a domain profile so that the user can still have everything they have been working on? Users on windows 7 Ultimate and server is Server2003SBS. Thank you.

Yes, here is an easy way to do exactly what you are asking:
well it won't let me post links
    go to itswapshop dot com
then append this to the url:
    tutorial/how-migrate-local-profiles-domain-profiles-5-minutes-using-registry-tweak-windows-xp-and-7
    hope that helps

It's basically changing the permissions of the local users directory and then modifying the registry value for the users profile

Does Windows Easy Transfer not accomplish this?

Yes, but Windows Easy Transfer takes longer, especially if you have a large profile. It actually copies the data and settings.
I recommend the registry tweak method listed above, as it is much faster and dynamic.
