haven't done this for a long time, but helping a friend that want to reinstall XP Pro SP3. the computer is custom built with gigabyte motherboard and we have the oem files for it. also have untouched iso's of retail and volume.

I understand that the use of SLP OEM is the best method (?) but would like to know what's the exact process.

what is the best way to install the system so it will be fully activated and genuine?

    thx

already have these files. what's next? installing as usual and then using the OEMBIOS tool to install those files? or is there a way to slipstream them into the CD? will try this on a VM.

Why dont you read the Create OEM:SLP CD first?

You copy the uncompressed files to a folder and then use the oem:slp key..
