Hello: I am at present looking for an instant messenger program that can be used within my LAN as follows: 1) Server software is configured either as an MMC or via web >>> Integrates w/ Active Directory (if no AD then stand-alone authentication) >>> Allows for logging and retention of conversations at the server >>> Allows Admin to define statuses (Out to lunch, On the Phone, In a Meeting, etc.) >>> Allows Admin to define contacts and groups >>> Allows conferences (e.g. multi-user chats) >>> Basically a Windows Live / AIM clone that works on the internal network 2) Client software that runs on the Windows 2003 terminal server I've tried Live Communication Server 2005 from MS but even following the guide to the letter all that did was break my AD necessitating a reinstall of everything. Thus I'm kind of cautious of Microsoft enterprise IM software. I understand that this might be a tall request, but I'm seriously looking to replace GroupWise (novell) and it's messenger as I cannot get it to play well in an environment that uses AD.
