Why do you need a newer ISO? I have a HP laptop, 2 Dell desktops, a Toshiba laptop and a Dixons machine which all shipped with XP Home, and I use a slightly older (May 2008) XP Home OEM SP3 disk to flatten them. You can apply an AIO-post SP3 update to that ISO via RyanVM which'll take it right into 2011, including things like .Net runtimes, DirectX and IE8. Then you can use Driverpacks.net to cover all the bases for essential hardware like network / wireless adaptors, chipset, SATA controllers etc. My current XP "recovery disk" is a bit out of date... Windows Update still has to grab anything that's been released since February 2011 and I install the graphics card and printers separately. But it really does work "out of the box" on every one of my XP machines.
@tstaddon Lateshift is a well-known contributor here, specially in XP section ( for making untouched XP collection ~ see his sig). He wants it for putting in his collection!!
Wow, kinda given up on this one. Is there any chance you could share this, as in making an ISO with ImgBurn (Read Mode) and upload it somewhere?
Many thanks Mike, grabbing it now, don't think I have ever downloaded anything from Skydrive before. EDIT, got it down now, looking good, thanks again. Time to update the Archive... EDIT: Archive updated. Urie, if you read this, can you lock this thread, all done now.
