    Is there an MSI 2.1 cert floating around anywhere? I've found the 2.0 cert with a changed time/date stamp to appear to be a newer 2.1 but is not.

    MD5 of the 2.0 cert is 1c4cb92b37a7a37b0059b4282f7776e1

    MSI has a Home Premium serial and was hoping for a 2.1 cert for the new WAT updates.

    Thanks.

    btw is there a tool that lists if a cert is 2.0 or 2.1....I know the online verifier but it only shows date.

    Thanks.

    Love to try it out but......
    LOL, I have no idea why (conspiracy theory) but when I click the RS link, I get the page to download, then every time after I click download I get a dead end page from RS (see diags note)
    "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (rs886.rapidshare.com) is not responding."
    Could you repost it to maybe a different host like megaupload, etc. .....makes no sense you guys can download it but I cannot. Thanks.

    Bizzare...I can download any other rapidshare files no problem, when I click to download this file, it just times out and I run MS diags on the page and it states it's on rapidshare's end....their server is not responding to my download request.

    lexus sc, your link is to the collection posted here already, there is no MSI 2.1 cert there I am aware of. If you know of a 2.1 cert there I missed please point it out to me. Thanks.

    I already have the older Vista 2.0 cert, and 7 uses a 2.1 cert. Thanks again. Hey question can anyone else download from the rapidshare links above successfully???? (if so I am beginning to believe in conspiracy theories)

    I do appreciate the effort beamslider, the certificate appears to be a version 2.0 as the issue date coincides with Vista certs. It is the same MD5 checksum I posted above 1c4cb92b37a7a37b0059b4282f7776e1.

    Strange that windows 7 has a 2.0 cert in it, so this is the cert that came in your new MSI laptop with windows 7? I do appreciate your efforts to find and upload it several times.

    XrML Digital License Filename: MSI_NB_V2.1_Cert.xrm-ms

    Certificate Type: OEM Certificate
    Certificate OEMID: MSI_NB
    Certificate Date Issued: 2006-10-04T10:42:38Z
    Certificate Application Id: {55c92734-d682-4d71-983e-d6ec3f16059f}
    Certificate License Id: {a6e8a6a1-9bae-488e-b3ea-33e6e65b1096}
    Certificate CRC32 = F10F096A

    Certificate Digital Signature is valid

    I have collected msi certs from chinese forums, google and every1 I've seen here (have 25 copies) and many claim 2.1 but all have the same checksum of the 2.0 Vista cert so far.

    Yes came with Windows 7 preinstall. I saved it then wiped home premium and installed Ultimate, it worked fine to activate.

    So they must not have a new cert

    Not all of them, the OEMS that have 2.1 certs the 2.0 will activate Vista but not Win 7. The Asus one for example.

    To those who were able to register using the 2.0 certificate, what ultimate serial did you guys use? MSI doesn't seem to have an Ultimate serial or Professional Serial. Thanks.
