low disk space

    i resize my shadow storage ,deleted files, and my memory still keeps getting lower...now i got 1 gb left

    any ideas??

    o im using vista

    a little more info is needed. do you download allot of music, pictures?

    I'm in the same situation with low space, running vista 64, it's weird cause my free space seems to fluctuate even if I'm not adding new files. I tried deleting files as well but it didn't seem to do much. I'm leaning towards backing up my files on dvd's or just buying a new hd and starting fresh again.

    Check your log files! some of these become enormous and most of the time they are not needed.

    Have you been installing tons of new programs in between? And if yes, is the system restore active? maybe creating tons of restore points to harddrive?

    Hey guys

    I NOTICED ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS
    why dont you try this
    go to start run then cmd
    then type this in
    chkdks /f
    then y
    then chkdsk /r
    then y
    again then restart the computer when it restarts its going to fix all the errors to the hard drive and fix any corrupted things with in the hard drive so try that and tell me how it goes
