This is odd. I was testing Win11 Pro for Workstations 24H2 on this machine (i5-11400 + 32GB RAM + RX 5500 XT GPU), and noticed it runs significantly slower than Enterprise. Some elements of the UI take a while to respond when I click... However full Enterprise (which is supposed to have all features Unlocked) runs fine. No hiccups at all. What is going on here? Edit: Upon further testing, I concluded that there is no difference at all between the performance and/or stability in 23H2 and 24H2. Both versions run great and basically the same on this rocket lake tower.
Although I'm not right, in theory each edition of Windows has different functionalities and features, I think it depends on how Windows adapts to the hardware.
He claims there is a difference in use of resources between two different SKUs of the same build, take in consideration all >pro SKUs are just virtual editions of pro and only features/policies differ.
There is no difference in the usage of resources according to the Task Manager. But I did notice some parts of the UI hanging for a split second after I click the close button. Normally this action is instant. But in this case some programs like the file explorer kind of freeze for a short period before actually closing.
I tested ALL Editions of Windows 11 (Pro, Pro WS, Pro Enterprise, and WIN11 IoT LSTC 24H2) works fast as I am using Intel i7, 32GB ram, SSD, and NVIDIA Card.. (runs pretty fast..) No trouble... ATGPUD2003
all editions of Win11 including Core/Home, Core/Home Single Language AND Education edition, atgpud2003? (you did not mention these other editions) test the "home" editions of W11 along with the Education edition and post your results for those editions as well most likely the case
It's 24H2 enforced VBS. Disable it to get back pre-24H2. Disable CPU mitigations help a little bit. Desktops are not Servers ...
