    Hi there,

So I've done some putting around and I haven't found an elaborate explanation on LTSB's search capability/functions...

If indeed LTSB is using Windows 7/8 style fully functioning search, theoretically it could be ported to another 10 installation, correct?

I think it should be possible, very messy with SFC and DISM, sure. :g:

Try to keep the scope to the question, please no discussions of alternatives, let's keep it to the technical bits.

    Thanks! :)

The vista/7 style search is still there, just use classic shell to use it, at least to find a program and launch it, the function works exactly as the one from win seven.

If, instead you want a good search tool independent from it to find any file all'over your HDDs, the W10 search is as useless as the one from win 7.

Just use agent ransack if you want a good search tool
