Hi, id like to move to LTSB, but need to know how to get fixes related to this build (that is, security only, I guess) to slipstream those and have an up-to-date ISO without having to wait for ms to release an updated build.
Can I just pick the standard w10 fixes (maybe even some non security related ones), and inject them ?
If so, what is the standard source to get security only offline patches (as whdownload doesn't seem to separate s.f. from the others anymore)...

    Thanks

There are no different updates types for Windows 10 so whdownload can separate

Windows 10 basically has 3 updates:
cumulative update (contain all fixes, security and non-security since the release of build)
servicing stack (required for cumulative update)
    flash player security update

    that's it

build 10240 has one extra update KB3088572 which represent .NET 4.6.1

of course RSAT & MediaFeaturePack are not counted because they are for special cases, easy avoidable in whd

    Isn't that just a pre-release (RC)?

    Thanks for your replies :)

So I can safely download all stuff from WHDownload and integrate (so that will include everything including non SF) ?

Things is, there could be, for instance, fixes for media player, or whatever is non-present on the LTSB edition, and integrating those could be a problem right ? (i mean, those updating via WU in LTSB would never even see those of course)

As you said, best thing to do would be, in WHD, to check all fixes and deselect things like "media feature pack" etc...(but if its just say, a security fix for media player, i would have no way to easily see what it is and get rid of it, except by checking each MS KB number).

I also have to deselect those marked as "general/10586" I guess ?

Yes, like i said, only 4 updates for LTSB currently, all are good

the .msu (or .cab) update is global forr all languages and all editions
and the system is smart enough to install only the updated components that exist on system

    yes, deselect general/10586

    OK thank you, makes sense.
When you say "the system is smart enough", what soft are you talking about ?
    I usually integrate with NTlite...

All softwares uses DISM tool to integrate updates, it's the only tool available for servicing the system
