Hi, I’m using LTSC2019x64 (OS Build 1763.292), upgraded from LTSB2016x64 and I can’t get the option for surround sound to show in Netflix, only 2.0 shows. I’m using Premium Ultra HD account. Netflix is App version: 6.93.370. I7-4770K. Asus Z87-Pro. 16MB ram. Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G, latest drivers. Denon AVR-X3300W Firmware 8400-0087-9103 DTS Ver 3.90.50.00. JVC LT-50C550. On my PS3, Surround shows up and DD+ shows on my amp. In Kodi, Surround shows up and DD+ shows on my amp, but I have to choose the DD+ 6 channel audio stream every time, and I don’t like the interface. I have tried the following; Edge, Chrome, IE11, the option for surround sound is not there. Dolby Atmos for headphones. Dolby Atmos for home theatre, this gives no sound at all. Set windows sound to stereo, 5.1, 24 bit 192000 Hz (studio quality), tried with the spatial sound on, nothing works. Tried a clean install with; Chrome Edge-10.0.17763.1 Silver light Add-Store.exe Netflix app, still no 5.1
You might want to try a Sound Blaster Z and use an optical cable to your surround sound. So many details are different from my experience with the same problem, (but in my case the sound blaster fixed that).
Did you try installing the exact same audio driver you were using in LTSB? If so, and you still can't get it to work, is there any reason you can't go back to LTSB?
You said "I’m using LTSC, upgraded from LTSB, and I can’t get the option for surround sound to show in Netflix", so the way you worded it sounded like it worked in LTSB. You might want to make it clear that it's never worked in either version.
At no point did I say it worked, I am giving as much info as poss. Not got round to trying a normal version of win 10. Has anyone got it working?
Well i finally got round to installing win 10 1809 64 bit on a spare hdd, i didn't want to do a vm as i dont know if it would have proper access to everything. IE11 doesnt work chrome doesnt work ms edge doesnt work, there is no 5.1 option when playing a film or program, only stereo. I tried with windows sound set to stereo and 5.1 and it made no difference. The netflix app DID work and it automatically sends out DD+, no matter what windows sound is set to. On a plus, the atmos app actually produces sound too. So something is either wrong with my LTSC 64bit or it doesnt work with it. Can anyone confirm if the netflix app outputs DD+ 5.1 on LTSC please Thanks
Didn't test it myself, but some other user wrote in another thread that there is a bug with normal LTSC 2019 and the Netflix app's 5.1 works only on LTSC N 2019 with Media Feature Pack installed.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...prise-n-ltsc-2019.76325/page-165#post-1510054 Im guessing that is why Dolby Atmos doesnt work either, I couldnt find a fix for it though, any idea?
I had LTSC version 1809 N original + media pack but always had problems with the store for my tweak version xbox game etc but Netflix app worked 5.1 but i need store only for Netflix app because is the only way to 5.1+, all browsers are only 2 channels, is a drm problem anyway Kodi 18.0-BETA1 (17.9.801.0) + Netflix 0.13.22 da libdev+jojo+asciidisco= ALL IS PERFECT NOW try this setup for netflix problem now in use LTSC 1809 now blocked at build 17763.194 (ps.non N)
