How about this how many tried ? instal win 8.1 pro clean install or upgrade from pre rtm then add defaultwmc key whic exist on another thread then after done adding features apply ur wmc key thats all
1.install windows 8.1 pro clean install/ upgrade from pre rtm not from 8 then add default wmc key see the post 2.after adding features done after restarted pc go to pc settings < actvate windows < enter key < add your own genuine wmc key or free wmc key thats all ! No need to replace data.dat / phone activation i didnt tried with wmc free key yet i need some timE will update you IF YOU UPGRADE FROM 8 UPGRADE AGAIN OR REFRESH

i'm from india, and I recently call ms for phone activation in Skype with US Microsoft number...but it say "sorry, its not a valid product" or something like that...what can I do now???
u need to install win 8.1 pro clean / or upgrade frm pre rtm or ( upgrade from 8.1 pro again only if you upgraded from 8 ) try my steps if that fail do phone activation choosing uk but my steps can help u i guess pls try and update during adding features dont disconnect net then after restarting system apply ur wmc key in pc setting activation page ( who upgraded 8 -8.1 ) if fail upgrade 8.1 again if u want try phone activation method ( uk ) optional
