I have an XP pro oem cd and want to use this to create an XP pro retail cd if possible.

The sticky thread shows how to do the reverse ie create an oem cd from a retail. From what I understand this is just copying the 'oem files' setupp.ini and winnt.sif and then copying the relevant oembios files.

Is it correct that these are the only differences and I could create a retail cd from my oem by doing the reverse of these steps?

If so does anyone know where I could download the retail version of these files? I would rather not download the full retail iso if I can help it.

    thanks

All you need to change is setupp.ini & remove winnt.sif

(I do not see why you want to do it, but of course you can)

Thanks for the reply. Followed your suggestion and it worked fine, seems I was making it more complicted than it needed to be.
