There's Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB - no metro, no cortana.

How to make Windows 10 run like Server 2016:

    Install Windows 10 (any edition)
    Format drive
    Install Server 2016 instead

For 32bit you apply the same procedure as for 64bit. :D

there's no such thing as windows server 2016 32 bit, only option is older server 32 bit or ltsb n. There's no other way around

For 32-bit (unless netbook) the proceedure is similar but with two key differences:

    Install Windows 10
Format drive (I recommend DBAN for security)
Throw outdated PC in trash, you cheapskate who hasn't bought a new computer in the last decade minimum clearly
Buy PC capable of running Server 2016 (anything post 2006 should do)

I am afraid removing ShellExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy might cause malfunction for Current Branch.

I have NTlite full version, I can use it for you to remove what NTLite recommends if you do not mind.

    Hi,

Microsoft.Windows.CloudExperienceHost is new OOBE, you can skip it if removed by doing unattended setup with silent user adding and autologon.
That is why I remove it only post-setup (Live-only).

    As for
ShellExperienceHost, not 100% sure, seems like basis of Metro shell APIs - like PC Settings would use.
All of those *Host processes are like a proxy from Metro to native - as far as I have noticed.

Now, it would be nice if there was a switch which makes it skip all that and go back to Desktop mode, but as far as I know there is no such reg entry, except maybe on Server 2016 it seems.
If you remember they had such a switch for start menu in Win8, then when people started using it, they removed it.

I would like to clean metro out completely too, if possible without resorting to Server 2016 binaries or something.

lite8 dont take that path, find a server 2016 iso, have a decent hardware whos goes with it, install it and have fun.

I've tried in the past "server 2010 r2 as a workstation" GOOGLE It , it will work to a certain extent, but it will create new problems ...

Thats why it is called server ... not worksation.

I know exactly what you want to do. You want to remove all Metro Apps and get back the standard Desktop with the Win32 Startmenu, Jumplist, Tray-Windows etc.. This would be AWESOME to get it back on Win10 Pro/Enterprise. The only solution is to install Windws Server 2016. You can install all the features that you need to run all programs and games. It might run even better on server because it doesn't have all the useless services.

You loose the XAML style start menu and the new notifications

Practically no problem about the menu using Classic shell, I didn't experiment a lot about the notifications.
