Master Password for dell latitude d830 Unlock Setup

    I have a d830 with a lost bios password.

    Can someone help me ?

    How do I unlock the windows xp screen bought this laptop online and somehow it got locked service tag 3y81yf1 can anyone help thanks

    The service tag has nothing to do with a Windows password lock. If the seller provided you with the Windows XP reinstallation CD, then I'd do that and forget about using someone else's Windows installation. Otherwise if you have access to another Dell Windows XP CD, use that to reload...they're all the same.

    But to answer your question, you'll need to skip the resume from hibernation...try pressing F8 before the Windows splash screen starts.

    what i usually do for bios passwords is goto ebay and search for bios password removal. it does cost like up to $30.00 bucks but if you're beating your head against the wall it's well worth it.

    they actually email you and ask for some info. they will tell you if there is a password or if you have to use jumpers on the board. good luck

    Try this it's a weird one: I'll put it in caps to read it easier: 3CDLP1BK OR 3cdlp1bk if using caps doesn't work. hope it helps let me know

    dell D830 password with FV2VMG1 service tag, try 3CDLP1BK, Try it without the caps, 3cdlp1bk, see if it works good luck

    #BV28CD1-595B is my service tag. just bought this from a neighbour he don't remember the password. Please help as i am in desprate need of this laptop.
