    Hi all,

Recently I faced the MBR virus problem. See this image.

    I have windows 7 64-bit.

Is there any safe solution for this problem? Appreciate your help.

    Thank you,
    Mohamed

I downloaded TDSSKiller & Vba32 AntiRootkit, but I couldn't download Sophos Anti-Rootkit, maybe the link is corrupt.I used both tools and they gave me that all is clean. So, all is OK I assume

By the way, I used before AVAST tool and when I used it the computer shut down unexpectedly and the blue screen appeared.

Yes, I read about it in many sites as well, but didn't try.
Will keep in mind and try if the issue remains.

well i'm glad you did get it fixed maybe.

i still think it is best to do it the manual way, just for the experience, and in case your mbr infection causes DoS attacks with your inet, downloading, or running certain tools.

seems odd that Avast tool didn't work for you though...
