As far as I can remember, it's not freeware. Are you using a Retail package that is already activated?
yes, I think you need to set exclusion at several places, not only this place. Unfortunately I can't get it work either. Eventually I gave up.
In order to exclude a file, you have to place an exclusion in 4 different places. In this example I exclude the file: "C:\Windows\KMS.exe" which is emulating a KMS server: Don't forget to click Apply
Well, after having manually scanned the folder containing the excluded file, McAfee deleted it anyway. I'm really at a loss now
Also for me...no way to create a folder where put my works without that mcafee erase all the contents. Mcafee is very aggressive. I'm seaching a method to create an antivirus off-limit zone, using endpoint is impossible!!!
that's why I eventually gave up. You can search on line and find there are so many people complaining about this exclusion issue and still not resolved. I guess McAfee is good for a large company but not for an individual user.
I've had all the possible McAfee licenses since the first day it came out, but - sorry a lot - I've tested from time to time, there was a time when it didn't bother much because it didn't do anything at all, then there was a time where no system worked as it should after installing McAfee. Then there was a few-year hiatus where McAfee was basically dead. All these scandals with it and so on. Now when it''s back. it's true, now it does not interfere much with the system, but it is very far from user-friendliness. Yes, I still have a license that is valid for about 1.5 years, but I'm not even going to try it anymore. It's just completely PUP, cannot recommend even to enemies.
I was talking about the computer program. I don't know John McAfee personally, but I know quite well the twists and turns of his life. But as you can see, I haven't mentioned him personally anywhere. So, I talked about my opinion on this program. And I don't think you can deny to anyone have his own personal opinion. If you have a different opinion, this is your business and I am not going to tilt it in any way. So, thank You. PS. And one more thing - when we talk about the computer program, we are not talking about people who express their opinions.
