Hello! Has anyone come across Media Center not running on 7955, 'prevented due to a software restriction policy' ? On one machine it runs perfectly, on another clean install I get the error and it won't run at all - Odd thing is though, I've checked everywhere and there's no software restriction policy in secpol, and media center is allowed access in default programs.

    Anyone else have similar?

You've been playing with your local security policy?

Click Start and type secpol.msc into your searchbox and make sure you have no Software Restriction Policys defined:

If you do, right-click 'Software Restriction Policys' and then click Delete ;)

Repair with command as Administrator "sfc /scannow", this will reset your files in system32. when complete after reboot apply "Sunrise 8 Unlocker.exe" and everything will function

Cheers All! I swapped RedPill for BluePill and Media Center started working - but it completely broke homegroup functionality, can't connect or setup any homegroup, always get a 'cannot be used on this computer' message.

    Hmm!
