I read the comments in this thread here , but I don't want to take that thread any further off-topic. I've always hated Windows Media Player with a passion and used VLC for as long as I can remember. But it started to annoy me when I used it to play an entire album of music because it doesn't respect the original track order . Yes , I know , you can add the album to the VLC playlist and then do a sort on track number ..... .... but what a load of hassle ! I tried KMPlayer first and found it to be horrible ..... it implements file-association by default so that all your media files become " KMPlayer" files , much the same as with Media Monkey . And even after a "complete" uninstall , I kept finding bits of it for weeks ! They both hook themselves far too deeply into the system for my liking . My current choice is GOM Player ( Korean ) but it is a little " crash -happy " . On the plus side , it has a cool equalizer which allows you to create , label and save as many different EQ settings as you want .... I'm going to try PotPlayer next . I'd like to hear comments from other MDL members.
