First I apologies if the post belongs to "Hardware". I have USB2.0 802.11 wireless wifi adapter. The same is working on windows 7 and 8 but in windows 10 it shows error code 10. I have installed latest driver from Mediatek still it not works. Thanks.
try in services.msc device install service right click start and same for device setup manager. now uninstall in device mangler and check box delete driver. click view>show hidden devices and look for leftovers in network. reboot and check the 2 services to be working before u plug in usb wifi.
I have Intel DH87MC motherboard and three windows version viz 7, 8.1 and 10 on three different partition of same disk. the device is properly working in windows 7 and 8.1 but not working in windows 10 only. windows says it does not recognised the usb device however under printer and driver the device shown as wlan modem. when check under property it shows error code 10 with status that this device can not start. Thanks
Please post the actual Device information! That have to include: Model numbers Version and/or Revision numbers Screenshots of all Errors Without such information it's maybe impossible to help!
This is a EDUP Mini wifi usb adapter. It is working properly in windows 7 and 8.1 with Mediatek driver version 5.1.25.0 dated 28.10.2015. In windows 10 it is not working. screenshots are attached
In that last picture, that looks like a usb port that's acting funny. Happens to me sometimes with my alfa wifi usb adapter. Try unplugging every usb device you can, plug your wifi adapter in, shut the pc all the way off. Pull the power plug. Wait. Turn it back on. Any difference? If not have you tried different ports? Edit: I've had this same problem and the way to fix it isn't always obvious. Besides the good advice of drivers and other things covered by other MDL'ers, a new usb adapter card or a powered USB hub might help. Just throwing some stuff out there for you.
I did that but nothing changed. I use same device on another pc running windows 10 and the same thing happened. I used another usb adapter of terabyte and received same result. all devices worked good if os is windows 7, 8.1, linux but in windows 10 they are not working.
As I wrote: Compatibility Mode is just a 50/50 Chance, not more! Your problems are driver related problems, because to your say, those devices works with 7/8.1! You still didn't gave exact infos about the device('s), just the Manufacturer/Brand name, even I asked serveral times for precise details! For me, this is done now, Bye.
No luck. I installed SDI version R496. First due to very slow internet speed it did not worked. letter on i installed an index of 12 MB. Then i downloaded around 1.5GB drivers pack related to the PC. SDI updated all the drivers and asked for restart but after restart the situation is same. The device is shown with yellow mark and not working at all. I further reboot to windows 7 and 8.1 where in the device is working properly. Please let me know how if we can check what exact hardware is used in any device. That is if i want to procure another usb wifi adapter and want to know whether that device has Ralink / Mediatek chipset or Realtek chipset. The package does not include such detail. At manufacture site like Edup or Terabyte they also not show this information even after searching with a reference to specific model number. Thanks.
Try installing Smart Driver Updater(I have version 4054001833) .... Of all the driver updater software I have tried this one gave me the most comprehensive results. I have a Ralink chipset based LAN card for the internet and it works fine for me on Windows 10 Pro, so it's obviously an issue with your USB. The latest Ralink driver for windows 10 is 57. The 59 WHQL driver mentioned before only installs 57 on Windows 10 and 59 on previous Windows versions. When you download the Ralink driver unpack it into a folder (Don't download the 59 driver because that is a .exe file that will not unpack with WinRar). Then right click on the Device Manager thing with the yellow thingy on it and choose 'update driver' ..... Then choose browse my computer (or similar) and navigate to where the unpacked folder is and see it that will install the driver. The best hardware information software is AIDA64 or HWiNFO.
i have this same issue.sometime it works better.after shutdown the system it will goes to same problem.
