    Want messaging in windows 8.1 metro?
    Uninstall "Mail,Calender and People" app windows 8.1 and deploy "Mail,Calender,People and Message" appx windows 8 app.

    add app using windows PowerShell:

    add-appxpackage Mail.Calender.People.Message.appx

    if u have 32bit version.. please share the link here. ty

    note: turn off "automatically update my apps" in app updates settting store app otherwise your older version Mail.Calender.People.Message windows 8 will be automatically update to windows 8.1 Mail.Calender.People app.

    Skype will be updated to do better than messaging, I can wait :rolleyes:

    Uninstall "Mail,Calender and People" app windows 8.1
    turn off "automatically update my apps" in app updates settting store app
    Run admin PowerShell or run powershell_ise.exe in cmd (admin)
    point Mail.Calender.People.Message.appx file location
    e.g C:\Mail.Calender.People.Message.appx

    type cd\
    then enter
    C:\> <your current command

    type add-appxpackage Mail.Calender.People.Message.appx
    then enter

    Any idea how to install skype 2.0.0.5011 on windows 8.1 ? It's default and installed, but I remove skype from apps and when decided to bring back to apps, from the store you can install(would install ver 1.9). I found that I have both version on my pc in "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" folder, but don't know how to run the newest version. There's no appx file....

    sorry friend, i dont have Mail.Calender.People.Message 32bit windows 8.

    I assume anyone knew this problem a few month ago.. u were received an update from store for video and music app.
    the problem has been fix by microsoft a few week later. the version showing 2.1.41.0 is lower than default and maybe a mistake from server.
    So if you uninstall and install a skype app from store a month ago, i suggest u uninstall and install back.
    maybe microsoft already fix all the error in store otherwise.. refresh ur pc.
