    Works when he's playing music so we can assume his soundcard is working..

    are you plugging them into your tower directly or the speakers (some speakers have a spot to do that) and are you plugging them into the front or the back? and u sure its not in the mic slot and not the headphones one? take a picture and post it?

    I would suggest this also as it looks like Microsoft Generic HD drivers

    The name of his sound card is that from generic microsoft drivers, it should say

    "Realtek HD audio" or "VIA HD audio" etc if manufactures drivers were installed

    I plugged in Headphone in the front tower directly - the front panel 3.5 jack - One to Mic and another to Headphone. It does not Work either in the front panel or Back.

    I double check the wires. It connected to Motherboard. I tried to connect Headphone in the back jack of motherboard. It still does not work. I wonder why the speaker works well when I play CD.... but does not work for Headphone.

    Thanks for your suggestion and help

    zizi you have to install your original audio drivers, provided with your motherboard's disk or downloaded from the official site of your mobo manufacturer.

    @thedonofdeath
    Excuse me but, how you figured out that his sound is Realtek HD?

    Greets! :)

    i didn't but i have used it on every widowns 7 that audio didn't work on and it seems to fix the problem. its kind of a cure all solution. since he already has audio in his speakers it shouldnt change anything but i think it will fix his problem
