The latest Release is from January 14. 2014!! Peerblock isn't very updated!! Quite old and should be used with caution on Windows 10!

I'm using it only for the list I made myself, until now without any problems on my Win10 Pro x64.

Anything which is used to access, editing etc. of the system and/or systemfiles, has to by used with caution!

As thyat apps is quite old and for sure not designed for W10, that should also used with caution!

My post is just an reminder not to take and use everything just be careful, that's all, no any offence!

You should see the file manager I'm still using, good old freeware Servant Salamander 1.52 from Windows 95 times. I can't get used to any other. hrhr
Maybe I'm sometimes too old school, but until now no problems with it. Using it approx since the last 4 insider builds of Windows 10, but maybe I'm just a lucky beggar.

As I wrote: accessing system files in any means and with any software should and must be done with high caution! Fact is, many users simply to lazy even to read what is displayed while installing an apps and even more lazy to think about what they're doing! Seeing an button, which say's (example) Install will be hit with no more chbecking and thinking! And, and, and! How the German telling: "Gut Ding will Weile haben!" (English: To do something good will need it's time!) and that's simply true!

I took the domains from all the "anti-spy" hostfiles running around and looked for the fitting IP's. My list isn't perfect, sometimes my PeerBlock blocks Microsoft website stuff, which isn't intended by me at all. :D

But thanks for your info about the Microsoft list, I'll try it.

I'm guessing that that peerblock list also blocks updates, no?

Yup, but you can disable PeerBlock temporary with just a single click.
