I am thinking of splitting this thread into two separate threads, this thread would of course remain here for Windows 10. The other would be in the new Windows 11 section, also be a sticky thread. I am just wondering if it's okay to take this course of action. Update: I have created a Windows 11 version of this thread, so if you are Insider in the Dev channel running the latest build of Windows 11, please click on the link in my signature below.

As in you used a tool to remove it from from the installer? I have had mixed results trying to undo this but typically an in place install will put it back, but that might add anything else you removed back as well.
Yes, it is possible to install the definition update and the platform update using the links from this post below https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-11-updated-july-1st-2021.83310/#post-1653326
That is normal and even though it won't show any progress, it does install the latest definition update. Same with the Platform Update, no progress shown, but it does install.

yeah it's skipped and there's a useless Digital Signatures OK line without other output. my bad, I first used it with 'arm' everywhere, it was lining up with x86 and x64, and the arm64 is pointless anyway when the 32bit one is dead. but as steven4554 used arm64, I adapted to it, but missed one instance. goes to show how popular windows on arm is (not much) thanks for reporting it! updated both scripts
