Thank you for your time and for your suggestions, I appreciate it. I spent quite a bit of time and frustration on this issue and I had already ended up doing all of your suggestions (plus many more), however, the one and only key thing that I did not do was restart the computer. It's funny because I was so frustrated that I was planning to reinstall Windows over this issue. I've been a Chrome/Chromium user since 1.0 release of Chrome way back then, but I don't think that I had ever gone back a version before. The thing that surprised me the most was that I never would have expected to have to restart the computer before installing the lower version, but that is exactly what worked. Thank you again. It wasn't until I read your comment fully that I noticed the "restarted computer" part of your quite which I put in bold that I decided to restart Windows and try to install Edge again and your suggestion worked. Cheers!
@WildByDesign Nice if it worked and You got help. I've also been working with Google Chrome since its first version, and I also was in trouble at first. Then I studied it completely to use, also it's commandline arguments are very useful sometimes. So if You're interested, take a bit time and find also them out. They are really very useful. Success for the future.
I really like the new Edge version. But I miss a setting of the view as it is with Firefox with the compact view. Is this also possible with the new Edge?
Is there a new fresh build to download or the one on the first page of this post good enough to try Edge on LTSC ?
