this is not a thing that happens only on my PC is an issue in Canary builds (for few users), and that is already fixed in Dev, Beta and Stable builds.
no, its a bug that is related with %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\ImplicitAppShortcuts\4f39101283389c18 and %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge SxS\User Data\Profile 2\Edge Profile.ico which is not properly updated in Canary builds and causing that the old Canary icon remains.
If anyone has a problem with taskbar icon where it shows the old e icon on taskbar, you have to uninstall Edge Chromium and reinstall it again.
a more easy fix is just delete the folder and file that I've posted above, without having to uninstall the whole Edge.
The important thing: fixed icon. Doesn't matter how you got there at all. Advice and ideas are much appreciated anyway, i guess.
I want to download the ARM64 version Microsoft released today, but I am not seeing it as a downloadable option (wondering if the site needs to detect arm64). I would love to get a direct download link to it... also want to see if I can install it on my old windows mobile phone. Any help with a link would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanx
Thank you kindly for the link... Adding it to my favorites... And THANK YOU @whatever127 for you hard work!!!
Thank @whatever127, he creates the amazing stuff ps, according to the OP, it should be the latest version.
I took a break from edge canary but just installed it again to try it. Everything seems fine but netflix no longer plays in 1080p. When I used it a few months back it played fine in 1080p. What happened?
