Plus it makes life less annoying. Unless of course you prefer the ads.

One thing that no one is talking about (especially Microsoft) is it does not appear that the final release of Credge will be compiled as a Modern™ application, sacrificing all the sandbox protection Microsoft was tooting their horn about regarding Edge. While this did limit some of the Edge Browser's utility, and could be argued was far from ideal in terms of sandboxing implementation, the same could be said for Chrome's approach to security.

Just referring to the default application installation here, obviously there are better alternatives for those that are more aware and concerned about security. Which also leaves me wondering what happens in a not "N" version of Windows 10 where the user has uninstalled Internet Exploder and Edge on Wednesday, and is using alternative browser -- will Microsoft push Credge on these (perhaps unsuspecting) people as well? Will the Credge uninstaller be as horrid as Chrome's and previous Beta, Canary and Developer iterations of Credge/Chredge?

My suspicion is that in each case the worst case will be what Windows 10 users will get...

All I know is that I have been using the new Edge Canary from the moment it leaked. I have had NO issues with the uninstaller. Also, most users do not know how to uninstall either Internet Explorer or Edge so most will get the new Edge, and they should be very happy as it is the best damn browser I have ever used. :)

I was referring to the trash and vulnerabilities the uninstaller leaves behind. I really don't understand why anyone should be very happy just because this is the best browser you've seen or used. I doubt if you ran Wireshark on an install with it you'd be as thrilled with this version of Chrome...

I will test that premise, I bet Microsoft downloads (but does not install) Credge regardless, and will even install in a lot of cases where Edge is not present... Soon enough we'll know. :)

Will there be something released today that can be integrated into an image?

I guess you can already integrate .msi installer of Microsoft Edge to an image in the same way as any other .msi file.

Isn't that only true for MSU files? I thought MSI and MSU were fundamentally different? I was able to locate offline MSI installers for the new Edge but was hoping for either CAB or MSU files today that can be directly integrated.

"If you’d prefer not to install Microsoft Edge manually, you can wait for it to be installed in a future update to Windows 10, following our measured roll-out approach over the next several months. We will start to migrate Windows 10 customers to the new Microsoft Edge in the coming weeks, starting with a subset of Windows Insiders in the Release Preview ring."

Microsoft Edge is a Stand Alone Product for Win 7, Win 8.1, Win 10, Mac, Android.
What do you mean by "No Updates for them" ?
