[DISCUSSION] Microsoft Edge

I used the online installer.
This service must be running "Microsoft Edge Elevation Service: Keeps Microsoft Edge up to update. If this service is disabled, the application will not be kept up to date."

 

Don't joke. Yes, you can change it to run automatically, but no need do. I always have it off, ie for everyone, ie for Chrome, Edge, etc. If someone really wants to turn it on, set the trigger to delayed start.

 

Great browser. Wish it could sync more now. Have been using it for 2 months after default firefox for 11 years,

 

i have two questions;

1. is it possible to do properly extract the msi file of the offline installer? when i try the usual method (admin install, it just extracts a msi file from the msi file)
2. how do disable the admin warning (something you don't get on other browsers...)

 

for security reasons you never should run a browser as Admin.

 

May I ask why do you want to run it as admin while putting your pc at risk at the same time?

User Account Control is Windows announcement setting, but the talk is about browser announcement, not about Windows announcements.
So, they are not any way related to each other.

 

UAC disabled for me, and I no longer have this popup since several Canary versions

I can't see disable feeds. I check in two builds:

Dev 78.0.262.0
Can 78.0.267.0

It is default option?
