Well that seems to be happening quite a lot lately...Are they listening to their customers?... good that they are not too arrogant to admit their mistakes - so big up to them for that...poor 8 sales has little to do with it I'm sure (not to mention leaks and KMS exploits) :p

You can pretty much do this now. If you purchase Windows full version through the Microsoft store...it will download the OS...then ask you if you want to save it to your desktop for later installation..or burn the ISO to your flash or CD drive.

    Ultimate Statement:
    9.9.13 is final, period
10.17 issues are the same versions which originate from RTM. How often has this to be said. RTM will not be changed.
The only difference is a small bunch of updates integrated like it was in the past.
    Guys this is no Kindergarden.
Don't cry for something which comes to you automatically by updates all year long
    .... stupid ..... stupid .... awesome ...

but for many "purists" the iso would be much better since the DL from the store is esd'ified and not wim'ified. :D

Seems like that this topic is all about "ass" "s**t" and bla bla bla :) As i already predicted we can expect the GA Updated 8.1 (multiple editions) ISO in some weeks time. I suppose that's what the original post is meant :)

Just read somewhere that iso are listed on newegg for $15. They have no serial no on the product.

I'm really only interested in install.wim versions. If they have the updated rollup hotfixes, great. If not... no big loss.
At first I really wanted them pre-integrated so I could do the /resetbase stuff while integrating hotfixes.
Since that's not really possible as most of the kbfiles set the pending flag, I don't really care.

Weren't they going to release some big November patch this month anyway?
The more patches they release without re-versioning the more I'm glad to have the non-patched source isos.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... I <3 WZT

Yep, WZT + Windows Update == whatever 'updated' ISO's are released between now and RTM of next version.
