I had the font rendering problem on one of my PCs. System fonts were reduced size. Removing KB2982791 has taken care of it.

Common guys, it just happens to everybody, who tries to improve something. :)
BTW: Maybe, that MS killed "Update 2 / W8-1-2" name intentionally knowing, that the update is piece of crap. :))

All shortcuts for third party programs in Start menu were lost after applying August update.

I had to roll-back to a previous Restore-Point, as the Updates messed around with some of my apps, like Origin, which failed to start after installing the updates (0xc000007b).

    :(

To be specific about the versions of Windows affected:

KB 2975331 affects Windows 8.0 and Server 2012 (only)
KB 2975719 affects Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 (only)
KB 2970228 affects all versions of Windows 8.x and 2012, plus Windows 7 and 2008 R2 (but not anything earlier, including 2008 R1)
    KB 2982791 affects all currently supported versions of Windows - 8.x, 2012 (incl. R2), 7, 2008 (incl. R2), Vista, and Server 2003.

In case of troubles you should remove those three I have marked by bold text below (You will not meet the other ones in W8-x.):

    KB2975719 Pack = (KB2975719 + KB2990532)
    KB2982791
    KB2970228
    KB2975331

    • KB2975719 is one of the crucial parts of the update. Removing that will possibly remove large part of the patches.
