Maybe they are working on OAT (like WAT for office) and did they take OGA down because of that? Only a quick guess though

How do you know it will be a driver based software licencing deal? They are marketing to us too much. Bad enough win 7 should have been service pack for vista. I might try to create a solution for win 8 but this is getting crazy marketing wise

What would a driver based model mean? I suppose it's not just a driver that's installed on oem machines

Maybe the guy called Odin (SECR9TOS) started to work for M$. We can´t ask him, because he got banned. Driver based?

SECR9TOS didn't get banned just I think didn't want his app here. I'm uncertain why? But maybe driver would be a combo licence/update in how they keep track in how genuineness would be checked. That's why I was asking how did that guy know maybe licencing would involve drivers

And if that is only hole MS leaves open in win 8 then unfortunately we might need a "modifier" solution to use win 8 which I hope we don't. Personally I am curious how there trial and rearms will work. We will see I guess when the beta's come out I dunno

I'm also wondering what they are going to do with rearming. I think the possibility to rearm will be kept, but more restricted/limited, and maybe in such a way that it's harder to reset the rearms.

And if apps like chew7 and removewat are then only options left... then that's how it is. There will always be a way, only this way is less noob-friendly. You can't just send a loader to a friend and say "click install and forget about it forever", you have to keep watching for updated cracks. For many users who visit these forums frequently that wouldn't be a big concern, but it is one for that friend.

And one thing I want to say:
Like with cracks/loaders/whatever in the past we've seen that there were a lot of loaders from different makers, we have chew7, removewat, deathwat (3 things with the same approach). Wouldn't it be better if all those makers work together? Or at least those who live at mdl. So there is 1 loader, 1 file modder, 1 driver (like odin) and 1 rearmer.
Now one maker can have a nice idea and build it into his app, an other one can have a different nice idea and build it into his app, but if they work together then all those nice ideas are build into 1 app. This way developement can be faster (like if MS updates it's wat our reaction would be faster) and at the same time the quality/robustness of the app increases.

This explains why when going to microsoft.com/genunine a few months ago did not validate when using Office 2010

Yea it always better if we share same agenda to collaborate rather than compete or share at least for who we do this all for the users who can't afford an Overpriced OS and for the beginners. I am here for the beginners like me

Really MS is in control and leaves holes or not so if I'm still around I will see if hole is available otherwise I'll stick with win 7 via IR4 if it goes the distance ;)

This was from march 2010, so that update is WAT and it's no problem for loaders as long as you aren't using the lenovo key or one of the first loaders.

    Thank you!
My mistake, I missed the "march"..... and I am using DAZ, so everything is still fine.

Still, would it make sense to stop using M$ Upadates?
Will they bother to sooner or later bring updates that will interfere with DAZ? Or are they only working on Windows8.......

We still have to keep in mind M$ needs to make it as pain free and fast for OEM's. So i doubt too much will change for Win 8
