    Microsoft Office 2010 Build 14.0.4417.1000 Beta 1 Download Update

    A new Beta Branch Build [14.0.4417.1000] of Microsoft Office 2010 has been compiled.

    As of 14:00 GMT 6/9/09, activation method(s) not determined. Will follow-up when available.

    Changes in Microsoft Office 2010 Build 4417 Beta 1

    * New activation system
    * New icons for all applications
    * Enhanced Back-Stage view
    * Upload Centre to share files on the web
    * New analysis and visualization feature
    * Improved Editing feature

    14.0.4417.1000 introduces a new mechanism of activation, now volume office suite is activated using KMS server.

    Well it looks like Office 2010 is going the way of VA 2.0

    Looks like cr**s are gonna be needed to use RTM. I wish Office has SLIC-style activation...

    What ever happened to this being "leaked" and available on numerous P2P sources... Im not seeing it anywhere at all other then mentioned of and screenshots.

    WZOR posted the screenshots and announced it would be available "soon". That was 5 days ago and he still hasn't leaked it. Guess we'll have to keep playing the waiting game.

    Wonder if he hasnt put it up because of the KB that disables it w/out activation. Probally affected the same way the Technical preview is.

    Personally i do not bother with leaks and betas.

    Is 2010 that much better than 2007?

    I think so. Not much, but it is better.
    Speed is an essential factor, and it is very optimized in this version.
    I also love the new outlook.

    Speed is definetly nice opened 3x as fast as 2007 on same computer.

    any hints for product key(s)? It installs OK, but asks for activation. It runs after closing that with a red top window bar. previous preview/beta keys do not work anymore. I assume the Win7 KMS server will do the job once a key is available?
