Thankyou!!! I've said this for a long time, both here and on other forums (under different user names and 'online personalities') and that is the first time someone actually agrees with me! If people just look at it for 20 minutes they may not fully appreciate exactly how bad the theme is, but sitting in front of it all day like you would in an office environment it gets quite unpleasant. Due to the nature of LED backlighting the Office 2013 theme is potentially less energy efficient too (albeit slightly).
Inspite of all the supposed improvements in Office 2013, I really do not like it so much and still prefer office 2010. The main grudge for me in office 2013 is the interface colour (not eyesight friendly for me), the wider space taken for icons on the toolbar, and the absence of `show all windows in taksbar'. The file icons in file explorer are also entirely new and previous office versions made it very easy to see what was word and what was excel and so on. Office 2010 sp1 now requires a lot of updates and I really wish that SP2 comes out soon.
I got mine now Participation Information: •Office 2010 and/or SharePoint 2010 must be installed prior to installing the SP2 beta patches. •In addition to SP2 patches for already installed Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 products, this beta includes full-product installations for: •SharePoint Server 2010 •SharePoint Foundation 2010 •Search Server 2010 •Search Server 2010 Express •Office Web Apps •Project Server 2010 These products have been updated for the SP2 beta and will now install on Microsoft Windows Server 2012.
I installed the beta today in Win8 x86. First installed Office 2010, skipped SP1 & activated it then installed this SP2 beta. Worked perfectly. *Sadly there is no slipstreamed versions (Full-Product Installations) of the above, there are for some of the others though.
Office 2010 SP2 Slipstream Any idea how to slipstream Office 2010 SP1 and SP2 at the same time ? Thanks.
Download links provided in first post are complete Office 2010 SP2 installation package or they're only SP2 update?? :/
Thanks Nick@Number11 ... for the clarification. I were confused by this statement : The SP2 release improves the compatibility of the Office and SharePoint 2010 products with Windows 8, Internet Explorer 10, Office 2013, and SharePoint 2013. It also addresses security, stability, and performance and contains all the Cumulative Updates (CU) and Public Updates (PU) that have released since SP1, starting with the June 2011 CU and July 2011 PU and ending with the April 2013 CU and May 2013 PU. I posted that again because it were just official released to public from Microsoft with maybe updated website and link etc.! Sometimes, special if I'm at work, I don't have the time to surf, compare and check that is exactly the same or not. And updated link's are at all times better than old one!
