    Would the new MSE be based on what's included in windows 8? So essentially also being available for windows 7 and vista only (and maybe xp too).

    What's included in Windows 8 DP = MSE 2
    MSE 3 will be better and it might be included with Windows 8 Beta and RTM.
    MSE 3 will be available for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8.

    I wonder if it will still perceive all keygens and loaders as viruses and malware

    It saw them as hacktool, but chances are of course that they now will become high-impact malware and get automatically removed. So I hope that the auto-remove option can be disabled.

    I would have thought MSE would not support XP. I mean they need to drop it, they already abandoned it with Office/Live Essentials/IE9. They could just keep pushing definitions to MSE2.

    I think the auto remove function will be optional. Lets wait and see.
