Nice, new black theme... but a bit stupid that it still caries definitions from back in april
Please aware that all settings are kept, except that it turns spynet back on (at least it did with me).
Some people don't like this and shouldn't foget to turn it back off again

uhm. After 5 minute of testing:
    - It found a false positive.
    - Icon for exe files appear slowly when browsing with windows explorer.
    - It almost freezed when i tried to extract a rar file with an exe in it.
Uninstalled and never look back. They never mentioned it in reviews. :|

The black theme is not so great as the old one. Still, no definition updates required. Just carried on from the previous version.

No such problems detected. Seems to run even faster then 1.0 - works perfectly!

Also none of the above problems here, mrthuvi maybe you can try reinstalling it and see if it solves anything

Works fine on Windows Server 2008 R2 (Bios modded).

Only detects the autoKMS and KMSEmulator from Cody (as false positive). But ask me first to delete the files. I have added both files on the white list ofcourse.

    MSE 2.0 works on a W2K8 R2 as a client (domain member) like a W7 client.

Have not tested it on an AD server (active directory -domain- server).

Is there a way to bypass validation?

I have not had these problems with any of the several computers I've installed MSE 1.x and 2.x on. I would suggest starting with a fresh install of Windows 7 because I suspect that your computer has other problems you were unaware of.

does it still use 50mb of memory? and does it still fail to install if the windows firewall is disabled? I've tried the program a few times but I don't like stuff that has to be running all the time.

I am very disappointed with this product, I tested it for two days, and the speed of uTorrent application was poor. By uninstalling I got full speed again. It is also very slow to scan and slows the system response. I am a longtime user of Kaspersky products, and a small deceleration are normal, but this is horrible ... Even the newly installed system I do not see any improvement. Microsoft has a lot to work on this program, in any case the idea is good ...

The RTM version of MSE 4.0 has been released!

And can one of the mods please change the title of this thread to Microsoft Security Essentials, so it doesn't confuse members when future versions are released, thanks:)

I was going to mention when I posted about this in the hotfix repository thread earlier (I forgot about this thread)!

Any idea why there was a version jump?
